Protest against google

Before I begin, I want to apologize (and warn) for all curse words that I'm about to say.

google gluegle is definitely an asshole a bunch of assholes. This is not a "conspiracy theory" it is a reality:

• A10 W^X: fundamentally breaks Termux, with no way to opt-out (for users; devs can "opt-out" but it's annoying for them), in the name of "security"
• A12 Child Process Restrictions: more than an annoyance, it can break many user workflows. They added an opt-out in A13, but it applies to all apps. "All or nothing" sound familiar?: you must enable internet for all or no apps because they want that sweet ad revenue.
• Developer "Verification": actually data-harvesting and walled-garden. "Apple" would be proud!
• In general, Linux & Java API breakage in favor of "official" Android SDK APIs. The consequence is slow workarounds at best, and no workarounds in the worst case.

And I'm "just a user"! Imagine the pain the maintainers are going through. I bet they're fed up even more than me.

So I propose that we protest against gluegle (goo-slop?) because we're all suffering thanks to their bullshit

I would not really say there is "no way to opt out"; we can continue using API level 24 (and, if necessary, can continue to increase it up to API level 28, because the problem starts at API level 29) for an extremely long period of time. I anticipate that an incredibly long period of time will elapse before API level 28 Apps are no longer able to actually install or run on the newest version of Android (especially when there is access to ADB install, and if all bionic libc functions are preserved with intact ABI in future Android)

I agree. But, while the current situation isn't as catastrophic as the "fundamentally break[s/s/ing/]" I wrote, it's still far from ideal :(
