Background session information not visible in sessions

• Start a background session in a fodler like vscode (with a git repo)
  (ensure you use worktrees, if that option is available)
• Make a change to some file, eg. use the prompt write a poem to poem.txt
• Verify you can see the changes and you get a list of changes showing up in the view (chat panel and sessions view)
• Close vscode
• Re-open the same folder and wait a minute or so and verify you can still see this same session and you can see the diffs of the files as well
• Close vscode
• Open an empty window and wait a minute or so and verify you can still see this same session and you can see the diffs of the files as well
• Close vscode
• Open Session Window (from command Open Session Window and verify you can still see this same session and you can see the diffs of the files as well

The first 3 bullets work (I can use the background agent to make changes to a file, and I see those changes listed in the sessions list and session output), but when I reopen VS Code, the session is marked unread (even though I previously had it open before closing VS Code), and I do not see the file change summary in the sessions list or session output.

I'm running into an issue after closing + reopening VS Code.

• The session add a glossary link at the top shows that it generated a small change in the agent sessions list
• View All Changes from the agent sessions list doesn't work, even if I wait a few minutes
• It works if I open the session, view changes there, and then go back to the agent sessions list
