Feature request - files and directories filtering in interactive mode

Hi, the interactive mode is very handy, would it be possible to add filtering of displayed items (files and directories)?
For example, when I start typing it would display only matching items. Or the "filter" mode could be enabled by pressing backslash first and then the user would enter filter text. Exiting filter mode would be done by pressing eg. esc. I think other popular file/dir managers have similar feature to this.

Thanks for the suggestion @blahetal, I’ll put some thought into it, but seems doable!
