Hi, I am the author of PolygonAlgorithms.

I have recently worked on a big release for this package. The boolean operations are now more efficient for multiple polygons, and can explicitly handle holes. There are other fixes as well as a few breaking changes. You can view the full pull request here: Pull 17.

I was hoping to release this under v0.4.0, however your project file says it will be compatible with it, which it will not be. Can you change your dependency to only 0.3.0? Or because this is the only major dependency of my package, I am willing to remove the breaking changes and release them under 0.5.0.

Hi! Thanks - I suggest you release your package according to your preferred processes, and I’ll update/release/patch Luxor with the necessary changes. Semver isn’t so useful with packages still at version 0.x, as far as I understand it.

Great, then I'll release v0.4 later today.

Semver allows breaking changes for minor versions with a major version 0.

One of the breaking changes I introduce moves the alg argument to the first argument. This is consistent with Julia base conventions e.g. rand([rng],...). I've done this to enable variable arguments e.g. union_geometry(alg, polygon1, polygon2, polygon3, ....).

So as an example, this Luxor.jl code will break:

function polyunion(pg1::AbstractVector{Point}, pg2::AbstractVector{Point})
    return Luxor._tuples_to_points.(PA.union_geometry(Luxor._points_to_tuples(pg1),
        Luxor._points_to_tuples(pg2), PA.MartinezRuedaAlg()))
end

should now work on master (which will be tagged as 4.5) with PolygonAlgorithms v0.4.
